Cassie Ries grew up in Moreno Valley with a heart that was stirred from a young age for global missions. What she perceived as a call to go overseas was redirected by God to the a different mission field, right here at home. Embarking on a teaching career she soon realized that she could be Jesus in a world of poverty, brokenness and spiritual darkness in a way that brought the kingdom of God to unreached corners. God is now preparing to use her experience to help other’s prepare for theirs. Cassie is leaving for a two year stint with YWAM Salem to equip missionaries who are answering their own call to mission.
THRIVE Rescue Home and Justice School
THRIVE Rescue home exists to redeem children that have been sexually trafficked into slavery, and provide an opportunity for restoration and healing. The children of THRIVE receive medical care, counseling, education in a caring and loving family environment. Most recently, THRIVE launched the Justice School as a means to train others to fight the evil of trafficking on a global scale, and equip people to establish effective and productive social justice ministries and programs.
